Have you guys taken the time to peruse through the pages of Lonny Mag? I really enjoy it. People ask, quite often, which magazines are worth their time and/or money. Lonny is in my top two!
Here are a few of the great spaces, plus a little quote that has my designer brain working.
Beautiful, aren’t they?
Here’s a though for all designers, from this Q & A with Tom Delavan:
Q: “You have a background in art history and served as a specialist in contemporary art for Sotheby’s. How has your study of art influenced your work of design?”
A: “I like to think I think more broadly-it’s not about fabrics and trimmings but how a space feels and how it should work. Also, I think a lot about what an object means, whether it’s an artwork or object that is completely functional. I don’t pretend to be an artist; a lot of design is about choosing the right pieces, but I do try to be sensitive to the space. There is nothing worse than when someone strips out the soul and replaces it with their design.”
Hmmm, I think that is very interesting.
Head on over to check out more fabulousness from Lonny!
