I know I’ve talked about this before, but for our “inspirational Tuesdays”, I thought I would talk about showing kindness. It’s something I feel very strongly about.
You can always be kind.
If you are mad, sad, angry, frustrated….it’s never ok to take it out on another person. Collect yourself and speak with a kind tone. When things need to be corrected, you can always show respect for the person and still address the problem. If you see someone that could use a smile or a pat on the back, don’t refrain (I do this too much). It could change their day if you reach out to them.
{I know I’ve shared this before, but this quote is so beautiful. Also, Plato was not the author, if you were wondering. It is attributed to Ian Maclaren, a pseudonym for John Watson, a Reverend in Scotland.

I had this experience myself.
I was having a particularly hard day. I was dealing with some people that weren’t very happy, and everything had fallen to pieces. I had tried to be tough, but when I came home, I couldn’t help but shed a few tears. As my heavy soul went to bed that night, I checked through me emails one last time, and this message was waiting for me, from a reader of this blog:
“I absolutely love love love your site. I literally spend hours going through pictures, reading your blog posts and looking at your paintings. You are a phenomenally talented person! Have a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.”
My tears dried, and my mouth turned up into a small smile.
Everything was going to be ok.
I’ve received other warm messages recently from other people who follow this blog. Thank you, thank you. It means so much to me.
So, what act of kindness have you received that has made a bad day turn for the better?

Kindness never goes out of style. I think kindness goes so much further than negative energy. I also think a good cry can be like kindness to one’s soul.
Hang in there, I too really love reading your blog. You are a special lady, artist, mother, blogger and designer. Add cook, add friend….and more.
